Store Inspector Pro for Shopify (the "Extension") is a free Chrome extension that shows how Shopify stores are built, audits stores and tracks stores you choose. This policy explains what the Extension and this website do with data. Store Inspector Pro is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify Inc.

Summary

The Extension does not collect, sell or share personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no servers of its own. Everything it saves stays in your browser.

What the Extension reads

• The page you are viewing. To detect Shopify and show the theme, apps, pixels and audit results, the Extension reads the page's code (scripts, styles, metadata, structured data and load timings) locally in your browser. On sites that are not on Shopify it only checks that and stops.
• Public store data. For catalog stats and tracking, the Extension requests a store's public product feed (/products.json) and its public best-selling collection page directly from that store. This is public data any visitor's browser can load.

What the Extension saves

Only in your browser's extension storage:

• Your settings (theme, alerts, automatic catalog loading)
• The stores you choose to track and their daily history (product counts, estimated sales, new products and price changes)
• A short-lived cache of catalogs for open stores, cleared when the browser closes

You can delete everything at any time in Settings > Clear all data, or by removing the Extension.

What the Extension sends

Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. Requests go only to the Shopify stores you visit or track. Links such as the Meta Ad Library open in a normal tab only when you click them.

Notifications

Alerts for tracked stores are off by default. If you turn them on, they are created locally by your browser.

This website

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It only stores your cookie banner choice in your browser's local storage.

Children

The Extension and website are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect any data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
